| Richie | Re: 6 El34's to 6 6V6's Tony: Wow, where to start. I have one of these to, I would't change mine, but your not me.You can do this if you do some mods to the power supply, I think their is a post on a Super reverb someone wanted to change with pretty much the same answer on how to do it.I did go through mine and change alot of parts, but it sounds so good now.If you have this amp and don't care to tear into it, it has alot of room, tubes to do just about any thing you wanted. Mine runs about 475 plate voltage, I've seen alot of those daggone princetons running at 410 and 420, and that is pushing it. You will have to get some good 6V6s to run at that range,You will first have to see what you can get your voltage down to,then go from there. good luck on your deluxe city !! [Richie] ps The only thing I wanted to try to mine was cascade the preamp, and just have one channel, like marshall did to Richie Blackmores 200 watters, and have the other control to be a master volume or to level the signal.
