Post Phase Inverter PP driver stage?

Craig | Post Phase Inverter PP driver stage? I've seen a few schematic examples where a 12A?7 is used after the phase inverter as a push-pull "driver" stage feeding the push-pull output tubes. Is this common? What is the thinking here? |
