I use a dedicated stripper. Different ones for different wire types. They work real nice, since you hardly ever break a wire, and it's real neat looking too.  
 
Stranded wire gets tinned first before being trimmed and bent to fit the terminal/turret lug. I try to get a decent mechanical fit, but only use a half wrap (like a J shape) since it's much easier to service later that way. For eyelets that have never been used, it's just stuff-and-go. For used eyelets, as in service, I pull all the components from that eyelet and suck out the hole with my Pace machine, then... it's stuff-and-go.
