| liam | Re: Not your typical bias problem! Derrick, I've used analogue and digital multimeters for this. I've actually had better results with an analogue one myself, but if you've got 2 meters you can check the resistance of one with the other on current settings! It varies with which scale you use. Doc, I was actually talking about using the OT resistance itself. ie the dc resistance of 1/2 the primary on my Marshall 100 OT is 16 Ohms. Therefore if I connect a voltmeter across the terminals, then bias current = volts / 16. Just an ohms law thing. What do you think? Should it work. I'm scared to try it because it seems too obvious. Help!! |
