I am not sure of how you are controlling the switching, but the control you use to pass the clean signal should also control an element that shunts the signal from the distortion channel to ground. You can put it anywhere: Early in dist. stage may result in addition of noise to clean signal, and late in the stages ( if switch does not have zero ohms to ground)you may still get a slight buzz bleeding through. In Kevin O'cconors' (gosh I wish I cood spell) book Ult.Tone #1 a signal isolation circuit is shown called,"zero-signal switching" Later- Eth
