Since the whole purpose of the amp is to sound good, I'd say using your ears is the BEST method, provided you're not running too hot and damaging the tubes. If you like the sound, and the plates don't glow at high volumes, you're there. Reid P.S. I do have a scope and signal generator, and I know how to use them. I still find them very useful for debugging, but not much for biasing.

sound good, I'd say using your ears is the

hot and damaging the tubes. If you like the
