Choke ratings for Matchless Spitfire
Hello all,

I'm thinking of building an amp based on the Matchless Spitfire schematic located in the "schematics" section. I've got a nice old Knight amp that has the same basic configuration, and it will be an easy mod to make it into a Spitfire. Anyway, there's a filter choke shown on the schematic, but the stats aren't mentioned. What should the mA and henries rating be? Also, where could I get one?

Thanks in advance for any help.

BTW, my last DIY amp project--a '59 Bassman front end feeding four 6L6's in a parallel, push-pull, Class-A arrangement with an all-tube effects loop via O'Connor--came out great thanks to the help I received here. It's as quiet as can be--virtually no hum--and sounds remarkable. I'm currently building a 4X10 cabinet out of cedar loaded with four WeberVST C10R's in it. I got them for $15.00 apiece, so I couldn't pass them up. I'll let you all know how it sounds as soon as I finish it.

Cheers,
