| R..G. | Re: 3-wire AC conversion-- There's no particular virtue to keeping it as a ground switch. Use it for standby. I have heard that there may be some benefit to being able to tie the capacitor to the hot side of the line to eliminate RF and light dimmer hash, but you could just solder bypass caps to both line and neutral (in case you get a socket that's wired wrong) and leave them in. A packaged RF line filter is even better. |
